Mr Metsan

Upholstery Cleaning

Mr Metsan provides specialist upholstery cleaning across Cape Town using predominantly very-low-moisture methods and modern spray-extraction equipment. We clean effectively while avoiding unnecessary saturation of the fabric, padding and internal structure.

Dry Upholstry Cleaning

Fabric Upholstery Cleaning

Very-low-moisture cleaning for sofas, armchairs and other fabric upholstery, using controlled application and strong extraction to remove dirt without unnecessarily saturating the padding beneath.

Dry Upholstry Cleaning

Delicate & Natural Fabrics

Different fabrics react differently to moisture, heat and cleaning compounds. We assess the fibre and construction first, then use the safest effective method for the material.

Heavily Soiled Upholstery

Where furniture is heavily soiled, we use controlled spray-extraction and appropriate cleaning compounds to achieve a deeper clean while keeping moisture use as low as practical.

Why Upholstery Cleaning Needs Care

Upholstery is very different from carpet. Fabrics, dyes, fillings and internal construction can all react differently to moisture, heat and cleaning compounds.

That is why we first consider the fabric type, colour stability, level and type of dirt, and the construction beneath the surface before deciding how aggressively to clean.

Controlled Moisture, Not Saturation

Most upholstery does not need to be soaked to be cleaned properly.

We use controlled application and strong extraction to remove dirt while keeping moisture as low as practical. This helps reduce drying time and lowers the risk of problems such as colour bleed, water marking, shrinkage and unnecessary wetting of the padding.

Testing Comes First

Where there is any uncertainty, we test first.

Delicate fabrics, natural fibres and strongly coloured upholstery can behave unpredictably. A small test can prevent a much bigger problem.

Heavily Soiled Furniture

Where furniture is very dirty, a deeper clean may be necessary. We can increase the cleaning action and moisture in a controlled way, while still avoiding unnecessary saturation.

The aim is always the same: clean effectively without being more aggressive than the fabric requires.

Clean the fabric. Protect the structure. Use only as much moisture as necessary.
